The 5 Stages of Hair Loss Grief

#1 Denial
In the last several years, along with deteriorating health, I began to notice stray hairs stuck to
my clothing & circling the shower drain. I tried to convince myself it was only those 100 hairs that are expected to fall out each day.
No way was I going bald. It couldn’t be!

#2 Anger
When I could no longer deny the harsh reality that my crowning glory was getting thinner, I felt
immense anger. I already had so many serious health issues
Wasn’t all that enough? Couldn’t my mother have had better hair?

#3 Bargaining
Please let this $100.00 bottle of shampoo work! Please let the laser work!
I’ll be a better person. I’ll like my mother-in-law more.

#4 Depression
Then it became undeniable. Friends were noticing. I started avoiding going out in windy weather.
I didn’t feel beautiful anymore.

#5 Acceptance
And here I am. It’s been a struggle, a loss of identity, (I was starting to look like my husband). But it’s also a relief. I love wigs – they keep getting more realistic, and affordable  they offer so many fantastic options.

So let’s start from here and through this blog, let’s discover the
World of Wigs & Toppers together.
